Craftsmanship: Quality, Precision, and Pride

Fab thru CAD

The beauty lies in the details. This is especially true in the jewelry segment as very, very fine, and intricate design expertise is involved. Previously, experts manually did all such work with the help of files, scrapers, putty knives, wax pens, etc. It used to be tedious and time-consuming. With advancements in technology and CAD software, it is possible to create prototypes with beautiful designs and details. At Giriraj, our team of professionally trained expert artists and designers has knowledge, experience, and a deep understanding of visual and create jewelry masterpieces of art and beauty. With expert use of technology, we have excellent insight into creating customized jewelry.

3d Printer

For decades, goldsmiths were used to creating wax molds by hand. This has its limitations, both in terms of quality and quantity. 3D printing, also called additive manufacturing, is an advanced way of creating real objects from digital files. At Giriraj, 3D printing technology is used for the benefit of the customers. In India, there are four different types of 3D printing technologies, namely,

The forms of 3D printers available in India that work on four different technologies are:

Stereolithography (SLA): This is a liquid-based 3D printing technology. Laser cures photopolymer resin—versatile material selection results in high resolution, accurate, and subtle details.

Selective Laser Sintering (SLS):This is a powder-based 3D printing technology. The laser fuses polymer powder. This is a low cost, high production process with excellent output and details.

Fused Deposition Modeling (FDM): This is a plastic filament extrusion-based technology. This is good for fundamental concepts and the development of simple prototypes.

Polyjet or Inkjet 3D Printing: This is a liquid photopolymer based technology where layer-wise deposits are used to create objects. Because of an inkjet head, the results are highly accurate, and the prototypes have excellent finish and detail.

By adopting 3D printing, we can create multiple patterns in a short period. This significantly reduces lead times as well as costs. We can easily customize the designs as well.

Dai Making

Die Making: Our designers create 3D models out of wax. The wax mold is encased in a plaster-like substance called investment. Once the mold properly settles in the acquisition, it is then heated to extreme temperatures. The wax burns to leave behind the jewelry shaped void in the hard investment casing, thus creating an impression. The impression is filled with precious liquid metal to create beautiful jewelry. With years of experience and expertise, we can create designs that are beautiful yet highly finished.

Filing Process

Filing Process: Though filing is a fundamental technique used by jewelers, the file remains an essential tool because of its shaping and finishing capabilities. Files are the tools used to cut, give shape, and smoothen the metals. Incorrect filing technique wastes time and causes repetitive work and results in waste of precious metal. Proper filing is crucial to the elegant and beautiful finish of the jewelry. Giriraj Jewellers always follows the correct filing method. For the return stroke, the file is lifted directly from the metal surface. This ensures a precise fit and finishes at the edges. Our expert designers take careful cutting strokes for accurate designing, providing jewelry with excellent finish and beauty.

Diamond Assorting

Lorem Ipsum is simply dummy text of the printing and typesetting industry. Lorem Ipsum has been the industry's standard dummy text ever since the 1500s, when an unknown printer took a galley of type and scrambled it to make a type specimen book. It has survived not only five centuries, but also the leap into electronic typesetting, remaining essentially unchanged.

It was popularised in the 1960s with the release of Letraset sheets containing Lorem Ipsum passages, and more recently with desktop publishing software like Aldus PageMaker including versions of Lorem Ipsum.

Choosing the diamonds can have a huge impact on the beauty, value and style of the piece. But when it comes to finding the jewelry you want, be it a ring, earrings, broach or necklace, the diamond setting styles are what makes the difference. it’s the setting of the stones in the ring that creates that look.

There are various styles of diamond setting:

  • HALO
  • BAR
  • PAVE

Buffing Polish

Polishing precious metal jewellery pieces requires a little knowledge about different types of polishing compounds and buffing tools. It helps you to finish a precious metal jewellery pieces to a high standard with a professional shine. You can apply polishing compound to the buffing wheel by spinning the wheel slowly and simply pressing the compound against the wheel as it turns. The important thing to remember when polishing jewellery is not to rush the process and take one step at a time.

There are different types of polish:

Heavy Cut:
The Heavy Cut range of polishing compounds is a good option if you're working with unfinished precious metals or brass and also require a very high level of abrasiveness in order to achieve a smooth finish.

Medium Cut:
The medium cut range of polish are great all-rounders.This comes with a lower level of abrasiveness, provide less cutting ability and more polishing ability.

You can expect to create a highly professional shine to your pieces, with a light but consistent polishing compound and much higher grease content.

Super Finish:
Super fine polishing compound is used for a mirror finish, high shine with a soft cotton or wool buffing wheel on aluminium, and all brass and non-ferrous metals.

Steam Cleaning

Steam cleaning is done by a portable cleaner machine.if jewelry is not cleaned periodically, it will lose its luster and sparklingness. Steam jet jewelry cleaner can easily resume a jewelry’s shininess within a few minutes. The process does not use any chemicals. It was popularised in the 1960s with the release of Letraset sheets containing Lorem Ipsum passages, and more recently with desktop publishing software like Aldus PageMaker including versions of Lorem Ipsum.

Rhodium Plating

Rhodium is a rare and precious element. Rhodium plating, also known as rhodium dip or rhodium flashing, is used to enhance the durability, lusters and also light reflection of jewelry. Rhodium plating is used to enhance the luster and durability of metals and gives a shiny, smooth, finish to the jewelry. It is especially very attractive when used for diamond rings, as it can really enhance the brilliance of the diamond.

Final Quality Check

Final quality check is done to check if all settings are done well and the final product is as per the required quality and excellence.
